Our Immigration Services

Immigration Law of Montana, P.C. (ILM) is a full-service immigration law firm. We only practice immigration law, and that’s all we have been doing for 20 years. So no matter what your immigration need, we can help you with immigration services. Our primary method of helping people is through our initial strategy consultation. We use this to fully understand all your circumstances so that we can help you best. Once we know your goals and your circumstances, we know which is the best service to provide that most meets your needs. We also know how much to charge for it. You will see the value in getting a strategy consultation when you have a look at our reviews and testimonials.

Citizenship and Green Cards

We help a lot of people with citizenship. Please check out our citizenship guide, including deriving citizenship and naturalization. We also help people get green cards. The USCIS provides a variety of ways to get a green card. We cover them all in our green card guide. The most popular way of getting a green card is through marriage. This is an example of a family-based green card. We’ve helped many people with this particular immigration service.

ILM helps employers sponsor green cards for their employees, employment based green cards. We help all types of employers, from the highly skilled like physician specialists through ranch hands or even green cards for sheepherders. As part of our services, we can explain the green card process for employees to see if it would work well in your circumstances.

Religious Organizations

ILM specializes in helping religious organizations. We understand all the options for religious workers. Our law firm can advise on using the B-1 visa for voluntary service in the United States, we can advise on petitioning the USCIS for an R-1 religious worker visa, and we understand green cards for religious workers. We put together a short guide for religious organizations that might need help bringing in a member of staff or a religious worker.

Employer Immigration Services

Besides helping employers with green cards, we help employers with immigration services for any immigration related issues. If an employer wishes to sponsor an employee for a temporary visa working full time we can help with that. We can also help with all the issues employers run into in the day-to-day running of their businesses that involve immigration. We have a guide for employers.

Temporary and Permanent Visas

We can help with any of the temporary visas that are available in the United States. We have a guide to most of these visas. Some visas are simple to apply for like the B-1 business visa. Other visas are far more complex like making an application for an E-2 investor visa. Regardless of the visa, we can help you with an application.

Immigration Waivers

Sometimes people are ineligible to receive visas due to an immigration violation or a criminal matter. Many times a waiver will be available to deal with the ground of inadmissibility preventing the person receiving the visa. You can read about the various waivers available in our waiver guide. We can help anyone who needs a waiver. ILM has prepared waiver applications so that a Canadian visitor may visit the United States. Our law firm also prepared waiver applications so that someone who is subject to the three or 10 year bars may receive a green card without waiting three or 10 years outside the United States. One of our immigration services is to prepare I-212 waivers for people who are subject to the 5 year ban on reentry due to a removal from the United States

Removal, Deportation and Relief

Noncitizens that are here in United States sometimes get into trouble with their immigration status. They receive a Notice to Appear in immigration court. We can help people who have trouble with the immigration services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection. People who have a status here, those people on a visa or people with a lawful permanent residency card, also use our help. In addition, we also help people who do not have status in the United States. We can help with filing an asylum application or requesting relief like a visa for those people who have been victims of crime or even cancellation of removal.

Miscellaneous Related Services

Another way we help people with anything that relates to immigration is in a variety of miscellaneous services. For example, many people have documents that need translated. We have worked with many translation services and can get any document in any language translated quickly for you. Sometimes, besides needing a translation, people need a document authenticated with a notary and an Apostille. We can get any notarized document authenticated with an Apostille by any of the 50 states in the United States.
